The most important thing you will ever do is to be saved!
You CAN know you are saved. I John 5:13 tells us:
" These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. "
Step 1. Realize you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23 " For ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God"
Step 2. Realize your sin, if not forgiven, will send you to Hell.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Step 3. Realize God wants you to be saved and provided a way out! John 3:16 tells us " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8-9. " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."
Step 4. Call on the Lord to receive Him as your Saviour and accept His payment on the cross for your sins.
Romans 10:17 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, SHALL be saved."
John 1:12. " As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
Conclusion: If you want to know you are saved, and realize you are a sinner headed for Hell, call on the Lord, asking Him to save you. Tell Him you want to receive Him as your saviour and accept his payment on the cross for your sins.
Here is a prayer you can pray to Him: "God, I know I am a sinner. I want you to forgive my sins, and take me to Heaven when I die. I ask you to save me. I receive you as my saviour, and your payment on the cross for my sins. Thank you for promising you would save me if I asked. Amen"
