The Christian's top priorities.
A. To glorify God. ( 1 Corinthians 10:31. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.)
B. To thirst for God and develop an intimate relationship with Him. ( James 4:8. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.)
( Psalm 42:1. As the hart (deer) panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.)
( Matthew 5:6. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.)

C. To remove obstacles that would hinder the relationship.
( Amos 3:3. Can two walk together, except they be agreed?)
( Isaiah 59:2. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.)
( Psalm 66:18. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:)
( 1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.)
D. Surrender and submit to God and His Word, recognizing the Lordship of Christ and the authority of His Word.
( Luke 6:46. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?)
( Matthew 4:4. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.)
( Deuteronomy 11:26. Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
v27. A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
v28. And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.)
( Romans 12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. v.2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.)
E. To be used of God to reconcile people to God.
( 2 Corinthians 5:18. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
v19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.)
How?
1. Witnessing and winning others to Christ. ( Matthew 28:19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
v20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.)
( Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.)
( 1Co 3:6. I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
v7. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
v8. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
v9. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.)
( Proverbs 11:30. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.)
2. Edify and exhort others.
( Rom 14:19. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.)
( I Thessalonians 5:11. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.)
( Romans 15:2. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.)
( Hebrews 3:13. But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.)
3. Restore backsliders. ( Galations 6:1. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.)
4. Love one another.
( John 13:34. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
v35. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.)
5. Minister and serve others.
( Matthew 20:25. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
v26. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
v27. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
v28. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.)
6. Love God with ALL your heart.
( Matthew 22:37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.)
