What To Do When I Sin:
It's important to realize, even after accepting Christ as Savior, we still sin.
We were not made perfect when we were saved, however our sins, past, present, and future are forgiven. They will never be placed on our record. ( Romans 4:7-8).
Our sins do however, come between us and God and block fellowship with him as well as block our prayers from being answered.
Psalm 66:18. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
I John 1:6-10. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. I John 1:9 clearly tells us, if we confess our sins, He forgives them, and cleanses us. This restores the fellowship we have with Him.
